Remedial
When muscles and tendons become damaged or impaired, knotted and tense or immobile, Remedial Massage provides a healing treatment that can be gentle or strong, deep or shallow. Remedial massage holistically treats the whole body and traces the discomfort as far as possible back to the original cause, healing both the cause of the disorder as well as the symptoms. It uses several specialised techniques to locate and repair damage and to support and speed up the body's own repair mechanisms. Passive stretching moves are also used.
Relaxation
The goal of Relaxation Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Relaxation Massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body.
Sports
Sports massage is designed to help you train better, whether you’re a world champion or a weekend warrior. The techniques are similar to those in Swedish and deep tissue massage. Pre-event massage can help warm up muscles and improve circulation before competition, Post-event massage can push waste products out of the body and improve recovery.
Pregnancy
Prenatal massage helps a pregnant women to relax tense muscles and reduce stress and anxiety associated with labor. It also works to relieve pain. The expanding womb puts a lot stress on the shoulders, abdominal area and back muscles of the mother, and lower back pain is very common during pregnancy.
Deep Tissue
Deep tissue massage targets chronic tension in muscles that lie far below the surface of your body. Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial for athletes and those who sit for long periods of time.
